Owner-Larry Malmberg Investigations and Security Larry is a California Native, born and raised in Southern California, he graduated from Fontana High School and attended Chaffee College, Valley College and Chapman College majoring in Police Science and Psychology. After employment with Kaiser Steel Corporation in Fontana he joined the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in 1970. Larry worked several assignments including patrol at Fontana Sheriff's Station, investigations at Victorville Sheriff's Station, investigations at Central Forgery Fraud in San Bernardino and investigations in the Homicide Division in San Bernardino. While assigned as a detective in the Homicide Division he worked on several cases which gained national attention, and cases that resulted in Death Penalty sentences. Larry has been recognized as an expert in homicide investigations in Superior Court, People v. Baker, San Bernardino County Superior Court. Larry became involved in the police labor movement in California and held several offices within the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Employees Benefit Association (SEBA) including the Presidency for three years. Larry moved on to become the President of the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC), headquartered in Sacramento, from 1986 through 1990 and honorably retired from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in January of 1991. Larry, at the encouragement of several local friends and attorneys, started Larry Malmberg Investigations in December of 1991 specializing in civil defense investigations. Larry Malmberg Security was added in 1996 due to the increasing demand for personal and personnel protection. Larry has three children, two stepchildren and three grandchildren. He enjoys golf in his spare time and had the thrill of a lifetime on January 11, 1998 making a hole in one at Green River Golf Club in Corona on hole #12, a 198 yard par three on the Orange Course. He proudly displays his Certificate of Hole-In-One from the National Hole In One Association on the credenza in his office.
Felix D'Amico Felix is a California Native, born and raised in San Bernardino, graduated from Aquinas High School and attended the University of Arizona and San Bernardino Valley College, majoring in Police Science and Business. After college, he worked as an Operating Engineer out of local 12 in Colton and joined the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in 1969. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1980 and has worked a variety of assignments including Custody, Patrol, Vice and Narcotics Division, Criminal Intelligence/Gangs, Internal Affairs, Civil Liability and Special Projects. He worked undercover purchasing drugs and vice related crimes. He is a nationally Certified Drug Recognition Expert and has been involved in over 3,000 under the influence cases. He has testified as an expert in San Bernardino Municipal and Superior courts as well as L.A. Municipal and Federal Courts in the areas of Vice Crimes and Narcotics Investigations. He has taught over 32,000 members of law enforcement, teachers, military and private industry in the areas of under the influence of drugs. Felix became involved in the community by serving as the Vice President of the Sheriff's Association in 1975 and 1983 and as President in 1976 and 1983. He is the Chairman of the S. B. Parks and Recreation Commission and the Vice Chairman of the San Bernardino Communities against Drugs. He also serves on numerous other boards and commissions. Felix has worked three cases with civil attorneys defending the cities of Anaheim, Moro Bay, Tustin and Riverside on drug and use of force cases and enjoyed the challenge of piecing cases together from reports and following them to successful conclusions. Felix retired after 33 years with the S. B. Sheriff's Department and procured his Private Investigator's license. He is now affiliated with his long time friend, Larry Malmberg, in his Private Investigations and Security business. Felix has three sons and a stepdaughter and in his spare time restores old cars. His future goal is to participate in the 14 day 5000 mile "Chevy Power Tour" with his Show quality Chevy El Camino.
